The working title of the book was ‘Wer Schmetterlinge lachen hoert, der weiss wie Wolken riechen’ (‘The ones able to hear butterflies laugh, these ones know how clouds are smelling.’), a quote by Novalis [Novalis was the pseudonym of Georg Philipp Friedrich Freiherr von Hardenberg, an author and philosopher of early German Romanticism].
I always found it so far one of the most difficult thing to explain or to summarize the content of the book without telling too much or too little.
‘A young woman struggles with past experiences. By trying to get rid of it, she starts writing down her story by using personified emotions to tell her inner conflicts and feelings . By doing so it is also a story of healing, forgiveness and hope.’
Given that the book is written in German, I’d like translating it, hopefully till end of 2010.
I would like to keep this page a living space, talking about the experience of being an author, feedback from readers and other authors or everyone who wants to comment, a platform of communication and exchange.
