Ann CT Braunsteiner [b. Austria].

Prior to relocating to New Zealand, Ann has worked as a biochemist and biotechnologist for
an international pharmaceutical company, the last two years as a Lean/Kaizen specialist and project manager.

The move to New Zealand turned out to be also a major change in profession, with starting into the arts.

Since 2010 Ann has had her work in local galleries, a solo exhibition end of 2013 at Black Asterisk, Auckland,
followed by her second solo exhibition held at the Red Art Gallery in Nelson and the SALT, and has her work collected in New Zealand as well as Europe.

Her style sees influences in expressionism, neo-expressionism, actionism and surrealsim, the latest more in her prose accompany Ann’s work in most of her exhibitions.
Current subjects for research are Albert Oehlen, Arnulf Rainer and Gottfried Helnwein, to mention a few.

Ann is also since mid April 2015 manager of the Refinery ArtSpace in Nelson.
